A François Linke Masterpiece for the Musée des Arts Décoratifs
Adrian Alan Ltd is delighted to have played a part in the journey of François Linke’s celebrated Table à Ouvrage, Coquille (Index No. 554), one of the most recognisable creations of the Belle Époque.
Presented at TEFAF Maastricht 2026, this exceptional work has since entered the permanent collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris. Combining extraordinary marquetry, sculptural gilt-bronze mounts and Linke’s visionary fusion of Louis XV elegance with Art Nouveau influences, the table represents the exceptional craftsmanship, innovation and creative ambition that defined François Linke’s celebrated career.
